About Red Squirrel Brewery

Gary Hayward, a lifetime enthusiast of premium brewing, started brewing some twenty years ago!

With a Bsc degree in Chemistry and a background in industrial chemistry, clinical pathology and space technology Gary’s academic qualifications have created a platform to allow him to become a Master Brewer of some note and a Associate member of the Institute & Guild of Brewers. With his fellow Directors the speed of change at the brewery over the last twelve months has been nothing short of remarkable.

During Christmas 2010, the brewery moved into brand new premises in Potten End, Hertfordshire to allow for further expansion and since the move has subsequently won a major national award for its London Porter.

The Brewery has also gone through a rebranding exercise with brand new pump clips after extensive consultation with the trade.

Red Squirrel is also pleased to announce that apart from its support for the Red Squirrel Trust, the brewery will be producing its ales from sustainable sources to further emphasise the quality message.

With innovation the order of the day, Red Squirrel Brewery is pleased to announce the release of a brand new chestnut brown ale called RSX (3.8%) supported by an award winning 3D pump clip that has been developed after considerable experimentation and liaison with Red Squirrel Brewery customers.
